UNIQUE Summer Surgical Experience For High-School and College Students

The ORTHOPAEDIC FOUNDATION IS PLEASED TO OFFER a TRULY UNIQUE Summer Surgical Experience for high-school and college students looking for a Taste of different Surgical disciplines for the Summer of 2026. The high school and college programs are separate cohorts.

Question: Does the Manhattan Medical Immersion Program offer hands on surgical training on cadavers?
Answer: Yes, we offer surgical training on cadavers all week long.

Question: Is the program competitive?
Answer: The program is highly competitive requiring an application, essay, test score(optional) and letter of recommendation. It requires serious students who have the stamina to be in a simulated operating room for hours at a time.

Question: Do the students work with board certified surgeons and clinicians?
Answer: Yes we have an amazing faculty who are inspiring the next generation of surgeons, and clinicians.

Question: Are there social activities that take place?
Answer: We take the students off site for certain dinners as well as a graduation dinner, but the primary purpose of this program is educational.

Question: Is a certificate of completion from the Orthopaedic Foundation provided?
Answer: All students who successfully complete the program receive a signed certificate.
